Mine is like a baby, and I haven't looked a lot yet but I think he/she may be the same kind. Briefly I looked for gecko with a striped tail and clicked on (him or her) and when I hovered before I clicked it also said something about Mediterranean something or other.

This guy is a baby. I found him in a sweat shirt I had worn for a few minutes and tossed on the bed..went to pick it up and he scared the crap out of me!

Anyway he's about 1 1/4" long. Not very big around and upon as close as I can with after-50 eyes. I'd say he is very light gray with brown spots and a striped tail.
I"m stoked!
I love animals and I wanna keep him. That said I won't of course. Just need to look up where he needs to be placed in the outdoors.
Thanks for posting about your find!
Jonijmlarkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15001460133758110948noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7143717553126279511.post-60363652697257188992011-09-07T18:30:56.908-05:002011-09-07T18:30:56.908-05:00How many lesser prairie chickens did your group se...How many lesser prairie chickens did your group see on this expedition? I live in NW OK and have only seen one in my 51 years. I think that I might just as well see as many in OKC. If the lpc cannot get past a barb wire fence without markers, then how does it navigate all the cedar trees in this area? I'm all for the birds but these are invisible.R Turnernoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7143717553126279511.post-74411455693900428102011-08-26T20:34:33.332-05:002011-08-26T20:34:33.332-05:00I really appreciated this post, esp the second to ...I really appreciated this post, esp the second to last paragraph. I'm in the midst of writing a book on Oklahoma that attempts to bridge several key areas: German Mennonite settlement around Corn and Colony (my family), treatment of the Cheyenne in the Territory and before, the flora and fauna of western OK and the mixed grass prairie, and my love / hate relationship with the state I was born in. It is a process full of insomnia, headaches, stress, but I know the book is important, or could be, showing how OK was / is a micocosm of all that's wrong with America, and that the places and cultures we lose (human and animal) literally make us insane and sick. That is how I feel when I cross the border into OK. Sorry, I went off there!Benjamin Vogthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10661489036836711335noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7143717553126279511.post-55684990123185601532011-04-29T20:28:30.682-05:002011-04-29T20:28:30.682-05:00You convinced me. I called them horny toads when growing up there, but I hear ant populations are being decimated, and so in turn the lizards. I'm always amazed at how much your luck can change from day to day when birding. Several birds one day, none to be found in the same place the very next day. Happens to me all the time.
